Timothy Schweikert is currently Senior Managing Director, International Business Development with Bloom Energy.  In his current role, Tim is focused on expanding Bloom Energy's global footprint beyond the United States and South Korea. Tim graduated with a Mechanical Engineering degree from Marquette University in 1984 followed by a Masters in Industrial Engineering from the University of Cincinnati in 1987. Tim joined GE Aviation in 1984. Over his 33 year career with GE, Tim held a variety of leadership positions spanning Aviation, Rail Transportation and Marine. Tim was the President and CEO of GE Marine Solutions from 2015-2017 were he led the development and implementation of innovative solutions incorporating technologies across the GE industrial portfolio serving the commercial, off-shore, and military marine segments Tim was the President and CEO of GE Sub Sahara Africa from 2012-2015. During his tenure in Africa, Tim successfully expanded GE’s industrial installed base through a strategy of localizing manufacturing and service capability through local partnerships. Prior to his Africa assignment, Tim was the President and CEO of GE Transportation China and Southeast Asia from 2007-2013. Tim was instrumental building a locomotive foothold in China via building local capability focused on building and servicing over 800 locomotives. Tim was General Manager of GE’s Global Locomotive Operations from 2003-2007. Under his leadership, GE launched the Evolution Tier II locomotive. The Evolution locomotive has become GE’s most successful locomotive with over 10,000 units shipped Tim began his career with GE Aviation in 1984 where he graduated from GE’s Manufacturing Development Program. He also held positions in product management, product support and was the Sales and Marketing leader for GE’s CF34 jet engine. Tim currently resides in Cincinnati with his wife and two daughters
