Michael LaMotte is a Senior Managing Director in the Energy Investment Banking Group of Guggenheim Securities. He joined the firm in February of 2010 as a founding partner of the Equities business, where he served as Head of Energy & Environment Research and as a member of the Research Oversight Committee. Prior to joining Guggenheim, Mr. LaMotte was the Head of Americas Energy Research at JPMorgan Securities, Inc. where he was recognized repeatedly as a top analyst by Institutional Investor magazine and the Greenwich Survey. He has over 30 years of Energy finance experience. Mr. LaMotte serves on the Advisory Boards of the Maguire Energy Institute and the Mustang Fund at Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Dallas, and  received his B.A. in Economics from Vanderbilt University.
