Crusoe Energy | How Stranded Energy Will Shape the Future of Computing

Although improvements in energy efficiency have enabled the growth of data centers without the same growth in energy demand, some forecast that data center electricity use will nevertheless grow to 8% by 2030. Both of these problems are solvable. By capturing stranded energy assets and pairing them with energy-intensive computing such as data centers or cloud computing, we can mitigate impact across both industries— ultimately aligning the future of computing with the future of the climate.

Challenges and Learnings from decarbonizing distributed networks

Decarbonizing distributed networks is challenging due to the widespread nature of assets. As our world gets more digitalized and connected every day the demands for power is ever increasing. This has a direct impact on the overall emissions footprint from distributed digital assets. We will explore the role of advanced materials, technology & innovation and a systems approach in improving energy efficiency of distributed assets and lowering the overall emissions footprint.
